Three of FJA’s athletic teams were in action on a warm and windy spring day on Tuesday, showing effort, pride, and resilience in competitive matchups across the region.

The men’s golf team hosted Birmingham Brother Rice at Tam-O-Shanter Country Club in a close contest. Coach Eric Spencer’s Jaguars went toe-to-toe with the Warriors before narrowly falling, 181–178.
Senior Zachary Elbinger led the way with a solid 42, followed by fellow senior Hayden Dean and junior Robbie Feldman, who each carded a 46. Aaron Schuchman, a junior, contributed with a 47 to round out a strong team effort on home turf.

The women’s soccer team traveled to Wixom to take on an undefeated St. Catherine’s squad in CHSL play. Despite falling 8–0, Coach Erikson Cela highlighted the toughness of the competition and the play of sophomore Leora Kahan, who anchored the defense with determination.
“Leora did a great job on defense,” said Cela. “She’s a very physical player.” Coach Cela added that, “St. Cats had a few really good players, there is a reason that they are undefeated”.
The Jags return to action Thursday with another CHSL road match at St. Francis Cabrini in Allen Park.

Meanwhile, the baseball team traveled Downriver for a matchup with Taylor Prep and dropped a 5–1 decision to the Tigers.
Drew Edelstein got the start and allowed just one earned run over four innings, striking out five. Louis Kowlsky came in for relief in the fifth, also fanning five while surrendering one unearned run.
On offense, Ari Gottlieb reached on a bunt single and came around to score on an Aidan Squarcia RBI single. Coach Marvin Montgomery liked the effort, “We didn't quit, we will work to clean things up.” The Jags will be back in action Monday, May 5, as they visit CHSL rival Detroit Loyola.

The women’s tennis team had its scheduled match against Riverview Gabriel Richard postponed due to poor court conditions. The team looks ahead to Thursday, when they’ll travel to Bishop Foley for a CHSL showdown with the Ventures.
