The Frankel Jewish Academy women’s tennis team showed strong effort and continued progress in a challenging match against Ann Arbor Father Gabriel Richard on Thursday.

Senior Sarah Krivichkin battled hard in the #1 singles spot, while sophomore Sophie Frank stepped up at #2 singles and played admirably. Lily Moss delivered a solid performance at #3 singles, and freshman Zoe Fish competed with determination in the #4 singles slot.

In doubles play, the teams of Scout Phillips and Emma Schuchman, Hannah Glazer and Gillian Charnas, Mia Gantz and Kaiya Jackier, and Mia Schlussel and Ryan Schwartz all played with heart and focus.

Head Coach Larry Stark praised the team’s performance, saying, “The girls fought hard and we are getting better.”

The Jaguars will be back in action next week with two matches—traveling to Warren on Monday to face Bishop Foley and returning to Ann Arbor on Wednesday for MHSAA regional competition.

The Frankel Jewish Academy (FJA) men's golf team continued their strong season with a decisive 169-210 victory over Marine City Cardinal Mooney at the scenic St. Clair Golf Club.

Junior standout Aaron Schuchman led the charge for the Jaguars, firing an impressive 39. Sophomore Kobi Schmeltz followed closely with a solid 41, while junior Robbie Feldman (44) and senior Hayden Dean (45) rounded out the team scoring.

Also contributing were senior Zach Elbinger, who carded a 47, and freshman Moses Schuchman, who shot a 54.

With this win, the Jaguars gain momentum heading into a major test on Tuesday when they host defending Division 4 state champions, the Everest Collegiate Mountaineers, at Tam-O-Shanter Country Club.
