The Frankel Jewish Academy Jaguars women's soccer team secured their first victory of the season in dominant fashion, defeating the Detroit Cristo Rey Wolves 8-0 on Monday afternoon.Junior Tamar Fischman led the offensive charge with a hat trick, showcasing her scoring touch and relentless energy in the attacking third. Sophomore Olivia Keller added two goals of her own. At the same time, sophomore Elyse Fleishman, junior Jessica Tracht, and senior Naomi Kahan each found the back of the net to round out the Jaguars’ scoring.On the defensive end, sophomore goalkeeper Michelle Ifraimov delivered a standout performance with a clean sheet, anchoring a disciplined and focused back line.“It was a great team effort and a well-deserved result,” head coach Erikson Cela said after the win. The Jaguars will look to build on their momentum when they return home Tuesday to host Austin Catholic in Catholic High School League (CHSL) play.

Birmingham, MI – Coach Eric Spencer’s Frankel Jewish Academy Jaguars put up a strong fight against powerhouse Brother Rice on Thursday at Lincoln Hills Golf Club, ultimately falling just short in a tight 159-167 contest.Junior Aaron Schuchman led the way for the Jags with an impressive round of 37, highlighted by five pars and a birdie, showcasing his poise and precision under pressure. Senior Eli Rosenzweig followed closely behind with a 39, continuing his consistent play. Sophomore Kobi Schmeltz added a 44, while senior Zachary Elbinger rounded out the scoring with a 47.Despite the narrow loss, the Jaguars showed they can hang with some of the top teams in the Catholic High School League.Next up, FJA turns its attention to the CHSL Championships on Monday at the historic Flint Golf Club, where they hope to carry this momentum into a strong postseason showing.

WIXOM, MI — The Frankel Jewish Academy Jaguars put together one of their most complete performances of the season on Wednesday, cruising to a 10-2 victory over the Detroit Cristo Rey Wolves in a dominant effort on both sides of the ball.Junior pitcher Louis Kowalsky was nearly untouchable, throwing a complete game while striking out seven, allowing just two hits and one earned run. His command on the mound set the tone early and gave the Jags the breathing room they needed to take control of the game.Kowalsky also helped his own cause at the plate, driving in two runs with a clutch single in the fourth inning. The offense came alive behind him, with sophomore Noam Kantor ripping an RBI triple and junior Aidan Squarcia delivering the biggest blow — a bases-clearing triple that broke the game wide open.Defensively, the Jaguars were locked in. Tam-O-Shanter Country Club – In a tightly contested battle on the links, the Frankel Jewish Academy Jaguars came up just short against Catholic High School League rival Everest Collegiate, falling 178-163 on Monday afternoon.The Jaguars were led by Robbie Feldman, who carded a solid round of 40. Feldman showed consistency throughout his round, navigating the tricky layout of Tam-O-Shanter with confidence and poise. Eli Rosenzweig followed closely behind with a score of 43, providing another strong showing for FJA in the top half of the lineup.Despite their efforts, Everest Collegiate's depth proved to be the difference, as their team posted a well-rounded scorecard to secure the 15-stroke victory.The Jags won’t have long to dwell on the result. The Frankel Jewish Academy women’s tennis team picked up their first victory of the season on Monday, defeating the Riverview Gabriel Richard Pioneers 5-3 in a hard-fought match at Drake Park in Farmington Hills.Led by a trio of seniors, the Jags dominated singles play. Sarah Krivitchkin was steady and composed at #1 singles, winning 6-2, 6-2. Grace Kleinfeldt followed with a strong performance at #2 singles, posting a 6-3, 6-1 win. Lily Moss completed the singles sweep with a 6-2, 6-1 victory at #3 singles.With the match tied at 4-3, all eyes turned to the #4 doubles pairing of sophomore Gillian Charnas and freshman Zoe Fish. The duo delivered under pressure, edging out their opponents in a thrilling match, 6-4, 6-6 (5), to secure the team's first win of the year.The Jaguars will be back in action quickly, hosting Plymouth Christian at Drake Park. The Frankel Jewish Academy (FJA) men's golf team continued their strong season with a decisive 169-210 victory over Marine City Cardinal Mooney at the scenic St. Clair Golf Club.Junior standout Aaron Schuchman led the charge for the Jaguars, firing an impressive 39.
